Temporal Explorer

This is my submission for the Fotolia One Cat, One Fruit, One Clock Contest [[link]]. This was my first time doing photo-manipulation with Photoshop, though I’ve had practice with other photo-manipulation programs in the past.

I discovered this contest a little late in the game – one week before the contest deadline, in fact! I knew I could create a picture in that amount of time, but for a while I just couldn’t figure out what sort of picture I wanted to create. I wanted to have all three photos blend well with each other as well as making it entertaining.

The most challenging part of this picture was opening up the clock. I pretty much split the original picture in half, and a few rotates and adjustments later, I ended up with what looks like a clock that doubles as a portal!

The second-most challenging part of this picture was coming up with a funny caption that would help explain why a cat is coming out of a clock. In fact, turning it into a time machine was a last-minute idea.
